NEW GENERATION PIPE HAMMERING MACHINES
DOUBLE STRIKE ENERGY!

In September 1993 the Mining Institute of the Russian Academy of Science developed a pneumatic pipe hammering machine of a new generation – the Taifun-130.
Compared to the SO-166, which is widely used in Russia (weight 370 kg, length 1720mm), it is 24% lighter (280 kg), and 23% shorter (1330 mm), while the hammering energy is 30% higher than its predecessor’s. Air consumption can be regulated with this machine (strike energy remains the same, only the frequency of strikes changes) and it is between 11-55% lower than of SO-166.
In 1994 T-40 and T-290 were developed and produced, in 1995 – T-740 and T-190, in 1996 – T-320 and T-100, in 1997 – T-500, and in 2003 - Taifun-1000. Taifun-1500 is developed and ready for production. The range of the Taifun pneumatic hammers comprises of 12 types various machines.
In March 29-April 02, 2000 the Taifun pneumatic hammering machines were presented at the international exhibition of the intellectual property “Archimed-2000” in Moscow, and won the Gold medal.
In May 17-21, 2000 the Taifuns were once again awarded a Gold medal at the biggest exhibition of inventions IMPEX XVI in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA.
The potential of Mining Institute of the Russian Academy of Science, which is developing pneumatic punching machines for over 30 years, is proven by more than 600 Russian and international patents. 11 licenses were sold to the producers in USA, Germany, and Hungary and show the highest level of the institute production. Presently up to 500 pieces of the pneumatic punching machines, owned by the Mining Institute of the Russian Academy of Science and produced in Russia per year are exported to the Western countries. Presently our company in the name of the Mining Institute of the Russian Academy of Science offers pneumatic pipe hammering machines of the Taifun series with the following nomenclature and technical data, listed in the table.
